Giving cheerfully and sacrificially is part of our worship to God. In this act we recognize God as both the Provider and Lord of our lives, and ourselves as stewards of that which He has entrusted to us.  In generous giving we also seek to reflect Christ, who gave everything that we might share in His blessing.  A Christian ought to labor not to accrue personal wealth, possessions and comfort, but to steward God's resources well and reflect Jesus to others.
